This grand castle atop a high hill on Andrews Avenue was once the Messiah Home for Children. When it was 70 years old, it became the South Bronx Job Corps Academy, serving a no-cost vocational training program run by the U.S. Department of Labor. In 1997, it was designated a New York City Landmark.
