Beautiful New York

A Celebration of the City

National Pickle Day

11-14 National Pickle DayIn a city with Dutch origins, it is fitting that popular staples of our cuisine should have Dutch word roots. “Pickle” comes from pekel, meaning brine. And that brine, coupled with the artistry of the pickle monger, can provide you with a new pickle, a half sour, or a full sour, depending on your tastes. While there are many famous pickle places in New York, we recommend The Pickle Guys at Essex & Grand in the Lower East Side. Go celebrate National Pickle Day!
