10-14 Girl CrazyOn October 14, 1930, George Gershwin’s musical, Girl Crazy, opened at the Alvin Theatre on Broadway and would run for 272 performances. The score featured such durable hits as “Embraceable You”, “But Not For Me”, and “I Got Rhythm”, and starred a 22-year old Ethel Merman in her stage debut.
