It Happened Today in New York City
On May 2, 2000, after decades in only Brooklyn, Junior’s – the diner most legendary for its signature cheesecake – opened its first Manhattan outpost. The Grand Central Terminal food court has hosted Junior’s to full capacity crowds and a thriving take-out business ever since. Remember: When you hear the phrase, “New York cheesecake” spoken as though it were only one word, they’re talking about Junior’s.
