National Lobster Newburg Day
The elegant dish, known as Lobster Newburg, was invented here in New York City, at Delmonico’s. It is still served on their menu and is a splendid light alternative to their famous Delmonico Steak. On tour with Beautiful New York Tours, you can hear the story of how the explorer and amateur chef, Captain Ben Wenburg, invented the dish and then had the letters of his name scrambled around past recognition. Enjoy a good tour and a good feast on National Lobster Newburg Day!
