05-25 Manhattan BridgeOpened in 1909, the Manhattan Bridge is the youngest of the three bridges that connect Manhattan to Brooklyn. Reversing the stone-to-steel ratios of the Brooklyn Bridge, its distinctive blue color and glorious arched gateway by Carrère & Hastings set it apart from its neighbors.
